Alshaibani was appointed CEO of STA in September 2026. Alshaibani previously served as deputy minister of strategic planning and monitoring at the Ministry of Tourism. He serves on the boards of the STA, Saudi Red Sea Authority, the General Entertainment Authority, Saudi Arabian Airlines, and Cruise Saudi Company. He is also chairman of the Saudi Swimming Federation, alongside several memberships under the Board of the Supreme Authority for Hosting the 2034 FIFA World Cup.
