Al Maamari assumed his current position upon Visit Oman’s launch in 2021. Visit Oman is OMRAN Group's national travel platform and destination management system, linking over 800 tourism service providers and expanding its reach to over 170 countries as of July 2026. Oman received 2.15 million inbound visitors in the first seven months of 2026, roughly flat year-on-year. In September 2025, it signed an agreement with Oman’s Ministry of Heritage and Tourism to digitize licensed tour-guide services. In May 2026, Visit Oman joined the International Congress and Convention Association. Al Maamari is a founding member of the Oman Tourism Association.
