Bashir cofounded Jordan Hospital in 1996 and has served as Chairman. The 350-bed academic hospital integrates clinical care, research, and education, and is the only private institution in the region performing liver transplants. JH has an academic agreement partnership with George Washington University since 2005, where Bashir was appointed in the Department of Surgery as Adjunct Professor of Surgery. Ibn Sina University for Medical Sciences in Amman is JH’s first private medical university established in 2021. Bashir is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and the American College of Surgeons.
