Hashemi and Almarzooqi cofounded meta(bolic), a hybrid care model for metabolic health, in 2019. It operates GluCare.Health and Zone.Health in the U.A.E. and the U.K. The company signed regional research partnerships including Medtronic, Eli Lilly, and Dexcom. In April 2024, it became the first global clinical partner for Oura’s wearable smart ring. The group is expanding further, with new clinics set to open in Dubai in October 2025 and April 2026 and London by June 2026. Hashemi is an early-stage healthcare venture capital investor, while Almarzooqi has authored over 40 peer-reviewed articles on metabolic health and care innovations.
