Bashir cofounded Jordan Hospital in 1996. The hospital achieved JCI reaccreditation in April 2026, and HCAC reaccreditation in December 2025. Bashir is a general surgeon, an adjunct professor of surgery at the George Washington University, and a member of the Jordan Medical Council. He is also chairman and deputy chairman of the board of trustees of the Ibnsina University for Medical Sciences.
