Alungal founded the group as a single polyclinic in Jeddah in 1999. Since then, it has diversified into a private healthcare network of over 50 facilities, operating hospitals, medical centers, optical stores, and pharmacies across Saudi Arabia and the wider Gulf as well as India. Between 2025 and 2026, Abeer Medical Group inaugurated 12 facilities, with major hospitals currently under construction in Khobar, Jazan, and Yanbu, and day surgery centers in Dhahran and Riyadh. Alungal concurrently chairs Insight Media City, 24 News Channel, and Abeer Educity in India.
