Al Qaed served as CEO of the eGovernment Authority (eGA) in 2007, which later merged with the Central Informatics Organization (CIO) in 2015 to form the Information & eGovernment Authority (iGA). In December 2025, the iGA announced plans to integrate Amazon Bedrock into the government AWS cloud to support generative AI development. Al Qaed chairs Silah Gulf, the Government Service Centers Evaluation Committee (Taqyeem) and the ICT eGovernance Committee.
