Schroeder assumed his current role in 2024. Al-Futtaim operates more than 200 global brands across the automotive, financial services, real estate, retail, and healthcare sectors. In October 2025, Al-Futtaim announced that it will be developing the Dubai Museum of Art (DUMA), a five-story building above the water that is set to become a new architectural and cultural landmark in Dubai. He is also a board member of the Middle East Public Relations Association. Previously, he served as Vice President and Head of Global Regions & MEA Communications at Siemens Energy.
