Okasha was appointed to his current position in September 2024. Banque Misr operates over 880 digitally integrated branches across Egypt, and maintains a regional and international presence across Africa, the Middle East, Europe, and Asia. In November 2025, Banque Misr signed a cooperation protocol with the New Urban Communities Authority to activate the open-market mortgage finance system and enhance sustainable urban development. Okasha is also vice president of the Federation of Egyptian Banks, a member of the board of trustees of the Egyptian Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing Combating Unit, and a board member and chairman of the investment committee at EGYPTAIR Holding Company.
