Ahmed established PRIME Health Holdings in 1999, which has since grown from a single outpatient center into a UAE healthcare network with 4,000 employees across hospitals, medical centers, pharmacies, and more. In December 2025, the group opened PRIME Medical Center & Medi PRIME Pharmacy in Nad Al Sheba, and the same in Al Khawaneej in May 2026. It also has a 150-bed PRIME Specialty Hospital in Dubai Healthcare City in progress, planned for inauguration in 2027. Ahmed also sits on the boards of Dubai Healthcare Business Group and the Indian Business & Professional Council.
