Arat assumed his position in 2024, having been with the business through GSK since 2011. In October 2025, Haleon entered a formal partnership with the University of Sharjah to upskill UAE healthcare professionals. Haleon launched its regional Health Inclusivity Index in July 2025, in association with Economist Impact, which evaluates 40 countries across 58 indicators in health literacy, outreach, inclusion, and equity. It also launched the Haleon Pain Management Institute in January 2025. Arat previously held roles with Eli Lilly and Company in Türkiye.
