Pereira assumed his role in 2021, before the hospital opened, through its operator Idealmed GHS, where he is also a senior manager. OIH introduced the Child Care Card and Women Wellness Card in January 2026, focusing on family centered healthcare. In 2025, OIH signed an MoU with the Philippine embassy in Oman, aiming for accessible healthcare opportunities for the Filipino community. Pereira began his career in finance, and has taught economics, management, and auditing across undergraduate and postgraduate programs.
