Al-Mawlawi became CEO of Visit Qatar, the marketing and promotional arm of the sector's regulator, Qatar Tourism, in April 2024. The hospitality sector sold 10.8 million room nights and generated about $2.3 billion in accommodation revenues, a 12% increase from 2024.
