Ben Zaied joined Sharjah Collection, part of the Sharjah Investment and Development Authority (Shurooq), in his role in 2023. In 2025, the group served 37,816 visitors across its 153-key hospitality portfolio and generated $91.5 million in revenue. That year, the group expanded Al Badayer Retreat with 15 more villas and opened Nomad Sharjah Retreat. In 2026, Minor Hotels was selected to manage and operate Sharjah Collection’s seven eco-retreats under the global brand umbrella. Ben Zaied is also director of membership and development at AICR UAE, vice president at the Hotels Sector Business Group, and a member of The Masterkey Guild.
