Ansell assumed his current position in 2024, overseeing today 44 hotels, over 10,000 keys, and nine brands, including Park Hyatt, Grand Hayat, Andaz, and Hyatt Regency. In January 2025, Hyatt announced plans to expand its presence in 13 new markets across Europe, Africa, and the Middle East by 2028. Recent additions include Andaz Doha in February 2025, and Miraval The Red Sea, in May 2026. Over the past decade, the company has tripled its footprint in the region. Ansell first joined Hyatt in 1996 as director of F&B at Hyatt Regency Riyadh.
