Janahi joined Gulf Hotels Group as a board member in 2016 and became group CEO in October 2023. The Bahrain-listed owner-operator comprises eight hotels, resorts, and residences with over 1,450 keys, as of Q1 2026. In H1 2026, it recorded $34.1 million in revenues and had assets worth $299.3 million. In 2025, it launched the Gulf Catering platform and expanded MFive Services in Bahrain through partnerships with Abu Dhabi National Hotels (ADNH) and Metro Global. In February 2026, it entered Saudi Arabia, following an agreement with Burhan Hotels to manage and operate three hotels in Makkah. In July 2026, it signed agreements for its first luxury resort development in the Maldives and its first hotel management agreement in Kenya. Janahi previously held senior leadership roles at the Bahrain Mumtalakat Holding Company.
