Burns first joined the group in 2008 as CMO, then became COO, before assuming the CEO position in 2017. He oversees a portfolio of 13 hotels and 63 home grown restaurants in operation, with three hotels under development, and a total of 7,563 keys as of April 2026. The hotels are present across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Ethiopia, and Greece. In 2025, the group served nearly 2.5 million guests.
