In January 2025, TASNEE began phasing out C2+ liquid fuels in favor of natural gas, estimating that the full switch will reduce emissions by 47,000 tonnes of CO₂e annually. In 2025, one of TASNEE’s business units operated its plastics recycling plant at 85% utilization, exceeding its 80% target, and produced a record 13,800 tonnes of recycled plastic. Its SAP unit began recycling superabsorbent polymer waste back into operations, reducing the amount sent to landfill and increasing its material-loss intensity reduction from 55.5% in 2024 to 68% in 2025. Al-Mishal became CEO effective October 2026 having been on the board from 2022.
