In 2025, ADNOC met its 2025 methane target, achieving an upstream methane intensity of 0.05%. ADNOC is advancing decarbonization through Project Lightning, a subsea HVDC transmission project connecting its offshore facilities to clean power from the grid. It is expected to eliminate at least five million tCO₂e of emissions annually once operational. In 2025, approximately 950 km of subsea cabling was completed.
