PDO recorded a 264 Kton CO2e emissions reduction in 2025 through the implementation of five flare gas recovery and gas compression projects. It also recorded a 15% recycling rate for hazardous waste and a 9% recycling rate for non-hazardous waste. The company aims to have 30% of its power needs from renewable sources by 2026, supported by a new 100 MW North solar IPP project and the Riyah 1 and Riyah 2 wind projects, each with a capacity of 100 MW. PDO focused on the mitigation of its carbon footprint through carbon sequestration initiatives by planting 180,000 trees across Rima Jojoba Plantation and Rahab Lemon Farm projects. Al Hadhrami was appointed managing director in 2024.
