In 2025, the company completed the $1.1 billion KM250 expansion project at the Khor Mor field, which supplies natural gas to power over 80% of the Kurdistan Region of Iraq’s electricity. Its $4 billion investment in Iraq since 2008 has generated $39 billion in fuel-cost savings and avoided over 63 million tonnes of CO₂ emissions. Operational efficiency enhancements drove an 84% drop in flaring at the Khor Mor processing plant between 2023 and 2025.
