Elzaher became CEO of Egypt’s ITIDA, the executive IT arm of Egypt’s Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT), in 2022. A December 2025 report highlighted sector growth beyond Cairo, with expansion into Mansoura, Assiut, Luxor, and Alexandria. ITIDA’s Creativa Innovation Hubs network, along with global partners such as Plug and Play and 500 Global, supported or incubated over 790 startups as of September 2025 — more than double last year’s figure. Elzaher is also serving as the assistant minister for Ecosystem Development at MCIT.
