Al-Mazyed leads NCA, which was established in 2017. Saudi Arabia ranked as Tier 1 ‘Role-modelling’ in the UN Global Cybersecurity Index 2024. In October 2025, Al-Mazyed signed the United Nations Convention against Cybercrime on behalf of the Kingdom – one of the first countries to join the international treaty. A month later, NCA launched the third edition of its Cybersecurity Accelerator Program focused on empowering local cybersecurity startups, and the Cybersecurity Enablement for Small and Medium Enterprises initiative.
