Originally established in 1970 as Mohammed Al-Issa and Sons (MASC) Holding Company, Assila Investments was rebranded in 2010. The company is among the largest shareholders on the Saudi Exchange, holding stakes including 8% in Riyad Bank, 11.2% in Savola Group, and 22.2% in TAIBA as of May 2026. As of February 2026, TAIBA managed a portfolio of more than 40 properties with over 8,000 hotel keys across Saudi Arabia, while more than eight hotel projects remained under development.
