Shaker joined GIB Capital as CEO in 2016. Established in 2008, GIB Capital is the investment banking arm of Gulf International Bank. In 2025, the firm had $4.4 billion in assets under management, a 62% increase from 2024. That year, it launched five alternative real estate funds with a combined target exceeding $1 billion and co-founded a strategic real estate consortium for developments across Saudi Arabia. Shaker also sits on the board of Bupa Arabia. He has previously held senior roles at HSBC Saudi Arabia and the Saudi Central Bank, among others.
