13. Ahmed Juma Al Shamisi

Company: Abu Dhabi Airports
Designation: CEO
Country: UAE
Category: Airports

Al Shamisi became CEO of Abu Dhabi Airports in January 2026. The group operates the emirate’s five commercial airports including Zayed International Airport (AUH) and roughly 90 million sqm freezone landbank. It recorded more than 32.5 million passengers in 2025. In February 2026, Al Shamisi managed one of the largest operational crises, with more than 7,000 passengers stranded at Zayed International Airport, ensuring the safety of travellers. This led to a speedy recovery in July 2026, when the airport achieved a daily passenger traffic record, a 10% increase compared to the same period in 2025. Al Shamisi previously held multiple leadership roles at Abu Dhabi Airports such as VP operations, and general manager of other airports and international ventures before his current role.
