Alkhanbashi assumed his current role in January 2024. He has led several seasonal programs, including “Colour Your Summer” and “Winter is Alive!” to drive year-round domestic and GCC tourism, as well as boost visitors and tourist spend. He also launched two global campaigns including “The Land is Calling” and “I Stayed for More” featuring Cristiano Ronaldo. In 2025, the country recorded 121.5 million visitors (+5%) and over $80 billion in tourism spend (+6%). He is also a board member of International Advertising Association’s Saudi Chapter and an advisory board member to Hotel & Hospitality Expo Saudi Arabia.
