Al-Athel assumed his current role in January 2024, overseeing commercialization, marketing, and global positioning for Saudi Tadawul Group, the parent company of the region’s largest exchange. He led the development of the Capital Markets Forum into a global platform, with editions held in Hong Kong, London, and New York, and contributed to and supported the launch of the STG App, surpassing 500,000 downloads within its first year. He also contributed to major market initiatives, including the Saudi Aramco IPO and Group’s own listing in 2021. He has been involved in over 200 capital market transactions. Al-Athel is also a board member at MR Capital and the Saudi Arabia Cricket Federation.
