Al Marar became CEO of EDGE Group in 2024, after joining the group since its inception in 2019. EDGE consists of more than 35 subsidiaries across five strategic business clusters: platforms and systems, missiles and weapons, space and cyber technologies, technologies and industrialisation, and homeland security. In November 2025, subsidiary KATIM partnered with Space42 to set up a sovereign satellite communications (SATCOM) manufacturing alliance for defence, government, and commercial use. Al Marar sits on the board of the UAE Space Agency, and is a board of trustees member at the Institute of Applied Technology in Abu Dhabi.
