Blanken became CEO of NSG, a PIF subsidiary, in 2024. The group operates satellite communication, geospatial, and Positioning, Navigation and Timing (PNT) services, and invests in technologies supporting Saudi Arabia’s space economy. In October 2025, NSG Geospatial Services, part of NSG, launched NeoMaps, the Saudi Arabia’s national platform to observe Earth and provide other geospatial data, followed by the launch of the Earth Observation Marketplace in August 2025. Blanken is non-executive director of Ireland’s Speed Fibre Group.
