Toma has worked at IBM since 1990 and moved into his current role in 2021. In January 2026, IBM announced a partnership with e& to develop an enterprise-grade agentic AI solution at e&, allowing employees and auditors to easily access and interpret governance and compliance information. In the same month, IBM also partnered with Egyptian Bank NXT to support its digital banking strategy. Toma holds a board seat at the American Turkish Society.
