Alghanim Industries was founded by Yusuf Alghanim in 1932. It employs over 15,000 people in 30 businesses across 40 countries in the Middle East, North Africa, Türkiye, and emerging Asia. The group operates across retail and distribution, F&B, automotive, services, and industrial sectors. In September 2024, Alghanim Industries launched BYD Auto Alghanim in Kuwait, introducing five hybrid and electric models, and inaugurated its new showroom in December. In February 2025, the company broke ground on a new Kirby Building Systems pre-engineered building and a structural steel manufacturing facility in Saudi Arabia.
