SAUDIA carried 32.7 million passengers over a network of 99 destinations with a team of 16,000 in 2019. In February 2020 Captain Ibrahim S. Koshy took the helms as CEO, he is an airline captain and a 30-year veteran of the industry. An accelerated transformation is ongoing to improve operational efficiencies and to transform digitally. SAUDIA will grow its fleet and network aggressively in line with the Vision 2030 targets from the newly introduced terminal as its main operational hub at Jeddah. Over the past year SAUDIA’s initiatives have earned it recognition as a 5 Star Global Airline and a DIAMOND rating in the APEX Health Safety category. Capt. Koshy is an alumni of ERAU in the USA and Cranfield in the UK. He serves as a Board member on regional and International Aviation Safety Bodies.
