Futnani assumed her position in 2025, having joined Sanofi in 2017. Since the start of 2026, it has enabled local diagnostic testing for five Lysosomal Storage Disorders in collaboration with NoorDx at a laboratory within King Abdullah University of Science and Technology. Sanofi’s first local insulin manufacturing facility in Saudi Arabia, in partnership with Sudair Pharma and nupco, is expected to produce 15 million insulin pens per year, covering 70% of national demand. Between 2025-26, it established 26 active studies across 32 planned sites in the UAE. Futnani previously worked with Novartis.
