In 2025, stc reduced the group-wide energy intensity by 4.96%, cut scope 1 and 2 emissions by 3.9%, and improved energy intensity across its Saudi operations by 10.6%. It recovered 19,611 devices through its trade-in program, achieving a 100% reuse rate. It updated its 2026-2028 sustainability strategy, targeting a 50% reduction in scope 1 and 2 emissions and a 46.2% reduction in scope 3 emissions by 2030, with net-zero operations by 2050. Under the Smart Trees Initiative, it has planted more than 85,000 trees in 2025 toward its goal of one million by 2030. It also achieved an MSCI ESG rating of “AA”. Alwetaid became CEO in 2021.
