ESAG was established in 1960 by Easa Saleh Al Gurg, and today has businesses in retail & lifestyle, consumer goods, building materials, industrial services, logistics, joint ventures, and real estate. In 2024, the company launched three new service-oriented companies: landscaping and swimming pool company Curoscape, marketing agency Born28, and logistics company e11. In April 2025, Mac Al Gurg, the building material solutions subsidiary of the group, signed a distribution agreement with Nova Siria to expand product availability across the U.A.E. In October 2024, ESAG collaborated with Amazon Web Services to scale up its IT infrastructure.
