Al Qassim became the CEO of Wasl in 2008. Wasl has a portfolio of over 60,000 residential and commercial properties and more than 1,000 buildings, and 5,500 land plots spanning diverse uses in Dubai. In October 2025, Wasl acquired a beachfront site at Marjan Beach in Ras Al Khaimah. Wasl also launched Jumeirah Golf Estates spanning 4.68 million square meters. Al Qassim is also Chairman of Türkiye-based DenizBank, and Vice Chairman and Managing Director of Emirates NBD, among other roles.
