Hamad bin Jassim Al Thani was Qatar’s prime minister from 2007 to 2013 and also served as foreign minister from 1992 to 2013. His great-uncle founded modern Qatar in 1971, and he is a cousin of the current Emir. Through an entity called Paramount Services Holdings, Al Thani owns 4.5% of Deutsche Bank, his biggest publicly traded holding.
